ManUtd have now won 30 games in all competitions this season after 41 matches; only in 2006-2007 and 2012-2013 (both after 40 matches) have they reached this win total sooner, winning the Premier League title in both campaigns.
Manchester United vs Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals after beating West Ham 3-1 in their fifth-round tie, after the late goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Fred.
After a tepid first half at Old Trafford, West Ham took the lead in the 54th minute through a precise finish from Said Benrahma. The Algeria international picked up the ball inside the United penalty area before drilling a diagonal effort past the hapless David de Gea.
Taking the lead, however, appeared to make David Moyes’ side more passive as United’s urgency increased after going behind.
Erik ten Hag’s side thought they had equalised when substitute Casemiro glanced home a free kick in the 72nd minute. It was overturned after a VAR check, however, as the midfielder was adjudged to have been fractionally offside.
United levelled the scoreline eventually after an in-swinging corner came off the head of Nayef Aguerd for an own goal in the 77th minute.

Ten Hag’s side continued to heap pressure on West Ham and deservedly took the lead late in the game. A ricochet inside the West Ham box landed at the feet of Garnacho on the left-hand side of the penalty area. Then Garnacho took a touch to get the ball out from under his feet before curling a sumptuous effort into the back of the net to rapturous applause from the Old Trafford crowd.
United extended their advantage after chaotic defending from West Ham allowed substitute Fred to slot home in the 95th minute.
The victory saw United book their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals, while West Ham failed to find a reprieve from their disappointing league form as they crash out of the competition.
Ten Hag’s side, who won the Carabao Cup on Sunday, will host Premier League side Fulham in the next round, while Manchester City have been drawn against Burnley.
Grimsby Town shocked Southampton 2-1 in their fifth-round tie on Wednesday evening, and will face Brighton in the quarter-finals. Elsewhere, Sheffield United were drawn against Blackburn Rovers after edging Tottenham Hotspur 1-0.
